Keeper

Photos, the way it started

Share a roll of film with the people you'd actually call.

Keeper is a private photo app for you and your friends. Friends find each other only through phone contacts. There's no public profile, no algorithm deciding what you see, and no ads.

Keeper is invite-only. A friend invites your phone number from inside the app, then texts you the download link.

How a roll works

  1. Step 1 · Shoot

    Start a roll

Shoot solo or share the roll with friends. Everyone on it adds photos as they go, and each one can carry a short handwritten caption.

  2. Step 2 · Finish

    Up to 24 shots

Like real film, a roll holds 24 photos. Finish it whenever you're ready, with an optional note for the album.

  3. Step 3 · Develop

    Friends develop it

Finished rolls show up for your friends as negatives. They tap Develop to see the prints, react, and write on the back.

What Keeper won't do

No strangers

You can only reach someone whose number is already in your contacts. Nobody can search for you, and there are no public accounts.

No feed tricks

Rolls from your friends, newest first. Nothing is ranked, boosted or suggested.

No ads, no tracking

Keeper doesn't sell data, show ads, or include advertising or analytics trackers. Read the privacy policy.
